Master of Orthodontics, Master of Lingual Orthodontics

Dr Ronan Perry established Pearls Dental Clinics in Dublin 2006, Ronan graduated with honours from the Dental School at Trinity College Dublin in 1998. Ronan worked as a general dentist in Dublin before moving the UK, to work as in one of the UK’s leading teaching hospitals.

In 2000, he was awarded the Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Ronan completed a three year full time Masters in the Speciality of Orthodontics in Trinity College Dublin in 2005. In addition he was awarded a Masters in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2005.

He has a special interest in lingual orthodontics and is one of Ireland’s leading practitioners of lingual orthodontics with over 200 lingual orthodontic cases.

He is a registered specialist and an active member of the Orthodontic Society of Ireland, of which he has served as membership secretary and editor of the society newsletter. Ronan was instrumental in setting up the patient focused OSI website www.orthodontics.ie. He is also honorary Treasurer of the Irish dental association (IDA) www.dentist.ie.

He has published several papers in clinical research and orthodontics, and has presented his research at international meetings, such as the European Orthodontic Congress.

He obtained an MSc in Lingual Orthodontics at the University of Hannover Medical school in Germany, in addition to his existing specialist qualifications.  The MSc in Lingual orthodontics was led Prof Dirk Wiechmann, who developed both the incognito and Win lingual appliances, Prof Dirk Wiechmann is a globally recognised expert on lingual orthodontics.

Ronan recently completed an Ironman competition in Klagenfurt, Austria. This consisted of a 3800 metre swim, followed by 180km bike and 42 km run ( a marathon)

He is available to see patient’s at any one of his three clinics: Maynooth, Castleknock and Dublin city centre.
