Lingual Hidden Braces – Invisible treatment for even the most complex smiles
Lingual braces are similar to conventional braces, but they’re attached to the back of your teeth, on the tongue (lingual) side of your teeth.
Because these braces are behind your teeth, they are pretty much invisible in most instances.
Unlike aligner treatment (Invisalign) they are effective in correcting even the most complex bite problems.
Lingual braces at Plaza Health are customised to your smile, making them super comfortable and maximising their efficiency.
The big advantage of Lingual Braces is that they are a great option if you need braces but don’t want them to be obvious!
What to expect with Lingual Braces at Dental House Smithfield:
- Lingual braces are more fiddly than braces that are fitted to the front of your teeth, this makes appointment slightly longer.
- You might experience some discomfort as your tongue gets used to having a brace in your mouth but should adapt in a week or so.
- You might develop a slight lisp, but again, this will pass after 3 to 4 weeks.
- Treatment time is the same as regular braces.
- You’ll need a retainer after your teeth have been straightened.
- Dr Perry has a Masters in Lingual Orthodontics, so can treat even the most complex of smiles.
- Dr Perry is a Specialist Orthodontist.
- At Plaza we can provide Incognito and WIN Lingual Braces.
